The Port Said Governorate and the Mishkat Nour Foundation for Knowledge and Enlightenment commemorated the birth of the Prophet
With a large turnout, the Governor of Port Said attended the Mishkat Nour Foundation's celebration of the Prophet's birthday, hosted by Mahmoud Al-Tahami and Mustafa Atef, the head of the chanters' syndicate.
The Port Said Governorate and the Mishkat Nour Foundation for Knowledge and Enlightenment commemorated the birth of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) with a chanting ceremony at the Cultural Center, sponsored by New Plan Company. The ceremony was attended by Adel Al-Ghadban, Governor of Port Said, and Dr. Nour Al-Hoda Al-Gammal, Chairman of the Foundation's Board of Trustees, in addition to executive and educational leaders in the governorate.
With a large audience in attendance and the center's halls filling up on all three floors, the ceremony began with a welcoming speech from Dr. Nour Al-Hoda to Adel Al-Ghadban, the executive leaders, and the attendees. Dr. Nour Al-Hoda expressed her gratitude to His Excellency for his continuous support of civil society organizations, especially the Mishkat Noor Foundation, over the past seven years, and for its efforts to assist our needy families.
She delivered a speech praising the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) on the occasion of his birth anniversary, his conveyance of God's message to humanity, and his positive influence on all of humanity. In his address to the attendees, Governor Adel El-Ghadban commended the commemoration of the birth of the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him. He emphasized that the city stands out from other governorates in the republic for organizing special celebrations for this great occasion, with a parade and special ceremonies honoring the noble Prophet. The governor praised the Mishkat Noor Foundation and its role in educating, informing, and assisting our needy families silently and without fanfare or publicity. He noted that Dr. Nour El-Hoda El-Gammal plays a significant role in most of the homes of the people of Port Said. He thanked her and the foundation's staff for the great efforts they make to serve the city's residents. Then, the religious chanting ceremony began, praising the love of the Messenger of God, presented by prominent media personality Ali Al-Farmawi. It began with chanter Mustafa Atef, who sang a selection of his most beautiful hymns. He was followed by Sheikh Mahmoud Al-Tihami, head of the chanters' syndicate, as they sang the famous "Qamar" hymn, which everyone, especially the distinguished visitors, enjoyed. Al-Tihami then performed some of his most wonderful hymns in love with the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him. The duo won the admiration of everyone after their beautiful performance. Dr. Nour Al-Huda Al-Gammal received His Excellency the Governor before the ceremony began. They toured the handicrafts exhibition held on the sidelines of the ceremony, and the Governor expressed his great admiration for the exhibition.
