The Foundation's team receives citizens' complaints and works to resolve them.
Dr. Nour al-Hoda al-Gammal, Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Mishkat Nour Foundation, held a symposium with residents of the Fatima al-Zahraa area in the suburbs of Port Said after Friday prayers yesterday. The symposium heard their complaints and demands, in preparation for efforts to resolve them in cooperation with the relevant authorities.
This comes as a continuation of the Foundation's role in responding to citizens' demands and providing support as one of the most prominent civil society organizations operating in the valiant city and many governorates.
In a friendly meeting, Dr. Nour discussed with the residents the Foundation's efforts to serve them. She noted their obligations to serve the community and assist the state, such as maintaining the development of the Fatima Al Zahra area, three phases of which have been completed. She also emphasized the need to take an effective role against anyone who encroaches on any facilities or vandalizes any facilities, buildings, lighting poles, or drainage.
Al-Jammal emphasized the need for residents to take positive actions to preserve their gains, calling for action from residents affected by the theft of pipes and utilities, to assist the Foundation and the state, and to file police reports to eliminate these negative phenomena. She expressed her fear that the area would return to its pre-development state, and the infrastructure would be destroyed, which had cost enormous sums to achieve stability for the area's residents.
Dr. Nour Al-Huda offered to help the residents by teaching them crafts or skills to work from home. To increase their income or enable them to start a small business, she also asked parents to ensure their children's education and commitment to school, noting that the Foundation's school in the Ali bin Abi Talib area teaches children from elementary school through middle school and works on behavioral modification, sports, music, and other skills. She listened to parents' complaints, and all complaints and requests were recorded by the Foundation's team, which was present in large numbers since the morning in the Fatima Al-Zahra area. They received complaints from many residents in various areas, especially medical care, late rent payments, food, the Continuing Education Center for children's education, and various forms of assistance. The Chairwoman of the Board of Trustees announced that the Foundation's community kiosk in the Fatima Al-Zahra area is open daily to receive requests and complaints from everyone and work to resolve them.
