Under the slogan "In Love with Palestine," the Mishkat Noor Foundation for Science and Cultural Enlightenment organized its annual iftar for our Palestinian brothers and sisters at Arish General Hospital on Thursday, Ramadan 18. Hundreds of Palestinian families receiving treatment in Egypt attended the event.
In the presence of Dr. Nour Al-Hoda Al-Gammal, Chair of the Board of Trustees, and dozens of volunteers from various governorates, the Foundation organized a day to support our Palestinian brothers and sisters in North Sinai Governorate. The day included numerous activities, starting with a group iftar for our Palestinian brothers and sisters, attended by hundreds of Palestinian families, especially children receiving treatment at Arish Hospital. In addition, a free clothing fair was held, during which approximately 1,500 items of clothing were distributed. Children had the lion's share of the day, with Quran recitation competitions, Mishkat puppet shows, balloon distribution, face painting, and entertainment and singing competitions, which they engaged with greatly. Palestinian songs were also played, which stirred patriotic feelings among Palestinians and Egyptians alike, particularly the anthem "My Blood Is Palestinian." After more than 1,000 Palestinian brothers and sisters participated in the mass iftar, Dr. Nour El-Huda El-Gammal made sure to check on the wounded who had arrived from the Gaza Strip to receive treatment at El-Arish Hospital and to support them. This left a positive impression among the children, who expressed their gratitude to El-Gammal and the Egyptians for their concern and support for their brothers and the Palestinian cause. Nour El-Hoda El-Gammal affirmed Egypt's and Egyptians' support for their Palestinian brothers against the brutal war waged by the Zionist enemy, during which they have permitted the killing of tens of thousands of innocent civilians, especially women and children. She pointed out that Egypt always opens its doors to its Arab brothers, especially the Palestinians, as part of its commitment as the leader of the Arab world and the heart of the Islamic nation, and as a supporter and always backer of our brothers everywhere.
