Mishkat Nour Foundation, in cooperation with the British University in Cairo, organized a free medical convoy in Matariya, Dakahlia Governorate, to serve the residents of the city and surrounding areas. The convoy was organized in collaboration with the Sharia Association at the Manar Al-Islam Center and the governorate's Social Solidarity Directorate, in support of civil society.
The convoy included several specialized clinics, including dental clinics offering all specialties, including examinations, extractions, surgical extractions, fillings, and cleanings. It also included orthopedics and internal medicine, along with laboratory services, including blood sugar, blood pressure, height, and weight measurements.
The convoy included 70 specialized doctors and administrators, providing services to more than 1,100 citizens from Matariya and the surrounding villages in Dakahlia Governorate, in various specialties, particularly dentistry. The university utilized the latest equipment and mobile units, including three modern vehicles equipped for examination, treatment, and sterilization, in addition to providing free treatment and conducting the necessary tests. The Mishkat Nour Foundation also presented an awareness-raising puppet theater for village children, while university doctors delivered an awareness lecture on dental care and maintenance, followed by the distribution of toothbrushes and toothpaste to the children and attendees. At the end of the convoy, the Governor of Dakahlia thanked the Mishkat Nour Foundation and the British University. He authorized the Mayor of Matariya and the Director of Social Solidarity to thank the convoy organizers and requested that it be repeated in the governorate periodically to serve its people.
