In a Milestone for Its Economic Empowerment Program, Mishkat Nour Produces 21,000 Household Cleaning Products Made by Low-Income Families

Mishkat Nour Foundation for Science and Cultural Enlightenment has successfully produced nearly 21,000 units of various cleaning products, supplying them to Port Said Governorate and several government institutions at competitive prices—lower than similar products available in the market.

This step marks an unprecedented achievement in the Foundation’s Economic Empowerment Program for low-income families. The products included bleach, disinfectants, bathroom and carpet cleaners, fabric softeners, floor fresheners, liquid soap, air fresheners, and more. These were delivered to Port Said Governorate, governmental bodies, and tourist villages at reduced prices.

The production was carried out by women from the Foundation who had received training from professional instructors in areas such as Al-Dawahy, Al-Zohour, Fatima Al-Zahraa, Sayeda Nafisa, and Ali Ibn Abi Taleb. After gaining the required skills, they began producing large quantities of high-quality cleaning products that earned the trust of local authorities, prompting large-scale orders. Thousands of units have already been delivered to the Governorate and other institutions.

The delivery was met with great joy from the producing families, while Port Said Governorate, government departments, and tourist villages praised the quality of the products.

The Economic Empowerment Program, launched by Mishkat Nour, is considered one of the Foundation’s most impactful initiatives. It provides families with education and training in various crafts and professions, followed by supplying them with raw materials and assisting in marketing their products.

This program helps families increase their income and improve their living conditions, with hundreds of families now engaged in producing goods such as textiles, embroidery, rugs, plaster crafts, macramé, beadwork, and cleaning products.
