"World's Chanters Carnival" on the sidelines of the International Quran and Isra and Mi'raj Competition

Port Said Governorate, in cooperation with the Mishkat Noor Foundation, is organizing the "World's Chanters Carnival" on the sidelines of the International Quran and Isra and Mi'raj Competition. Under the patronage of Major General Adel Al-Ghadban, Governor of Port Said, the Mishkat Noor Foundation for Knowledge and Cultural Enlightenment is organizing the "World's Chanters Carnival" on the sidelines of the Port Said International Quran Memorization Competition, in which 67 countries are participating. The event will feature young participants from cities around the world. The event will be attended by Dr. Osama Al-Azhari, Advisor to the President of the Republic for Religious Affairs; Engineer Amr Othman, Deputy Governor; Major General Atef Wagdy, Secretary-General of the Governorate; Dr. Gamal Awad, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Endowments in Port Said; and a number of religious and executive leaders in Port Said. For the first time in Port Said and Egypt, a mobile carnival will tour parks and major squares for three days, showcasing religious chants to the people of Basila. The carnival begins after Friday prayers and begins its performances at Ferial Park in the Sharq district. Visitors and residents of the governorate will join the reciters and chanters who have come from different countries and cultures to perform in Egypt. The carnival will then tour parks and public squares for three nights, showcasing their talent in religious chanting. The carnival aims to reach the largest possible number of citizens, both residents and visitors of Port Said. This initiative is part of the efforts to enrich and develop tourism, culture, and various arts, and to promote the sublime meanings and purposeful art that Port Said Governorate, under the leadership of Major General Adel Al-Ghadban, supports with the community participation of the Mishkat Nour Foundation. The Port Said International Quran Memorization Competition, organized by the governorate and held annually, is the largest of its kind in Egypt, with memorizers and chanters from 67 countries participating. It is worth noting that the Foundation is concerned with education and culture, and in cooperation with the Port Said Governorate, it organized all the activities of the book ship (Logos Hope), which visited the Port Said tourist port for a period of three weeks. The ship achieved great success, resulting in Port Said Governorate being re-ranked on the domestic tourism pages again, after the city received more than 100,000 visitors during that period.
