Governor of Port Said inaugurates the third phase of developing the Fatima Al-Zahraa area in partnership with Mishkah Noor Foundation and in the presence of the Ministers of Local Development and Agriculture

Governor Adel Al-Ghadhban of Port Said inaugurated the third phase of developing the Fatima Al-Zahraa area in Al-Dawahy district, which was partially completed through a partnership between Port Said Governorate and Mishkah Noor Foundation for Knowledge and Cultural Enlightenment.

Al-Ghadhban was accompanied by Hisham Amna, Minister of Local Development, El-Sayed El-Quseir, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, Engineer Amr Othman, Deputy Governor, along with Dr. Banan Abu Leila, Regional Director of Mishkah Noor Foundation, as well as executive and community leaders.

They inaugurated the third phase of the development project, which included comprehensive upgrades to the entire area: maintenance of apartments (including rooms, bathrooms, and kitchens), external renovations such as sewage system upgrades and building painting, as well as road resurfacing, electricity pole maintenance, and installation of modern lighting systems — transforming the district into a model residential area.

The two ministers, together with the governor, cut the ribbon to officially open the project amid a warm welcome from residents, who expressed their happiness with the improved living conditions and the transformation of the neighborhood into a suitable environment for dignified life.

The ministers, accompanied by the governor and the regional director of Mishkah Noor Foundation, inspected several renovated buildings, streets, lighting systems, and overall infrastructure. They expressed admiration for the completed works that provided a healthier living environment for Port Said’s residents and improved conditions in underprivileged neighborhoods.

The project was initially launched by Port Said Governorate and Mishkah Noor Foundation to redevelop the Fatima Al-Zahraa area in Al-Dawahy district. Two phases had already been completed, and this third phase covered the area east of the Laheita Mosque. While most of the work has been completed, a few buildings still require final finishes, which are expected to be completed within days.
